THE DIRTY BIRDER
ABOUT ME.
I’m Joe Glass, a passionate birder with around 5 years of experience exploring the forests, wetlands, and cities alike in search of the incredible diversity of bird life that surrounds us. Nestled in the center of Pennsylvania, I now spend most of my days checking e-bird for birds I have yet to check off my list.
Through my photos and stories, I am to show that birding isn’t just a hobby - it’s a way to connect to the natural world in a deep and meaningful way. Immersing myself with the environment around me, I’ve discovered that birds are more than just creatures to observe - but by seeing their relationships, adaptations, and ways of survival, we can too learn lessons about ourselves. My goal is to educate, entertain, and inspire you to step outside and discover the joy of birdwatching for yourself.
Whether you’re a seasoned birder or starting out, I hope my work sparks your curiosity and encourages you to find beauty in the small moments of nature. I believe everyone can experience the thrill of birding, and I’m here to guide you, one feathered friend at a time. Let’s get outside and explore what nature has to offer- there’s a whole world of birds waiting for you.
